Rashad Jaffar is an alumnus who was a research assistant and honours thesis student during his third- and fourth-year undergraduate studies in the Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences (Medical Sciences) program. His program has provided him with expertise in physical injuries, health-related research, epidemiology, and patient care.

Rashad's interests include identifying underlying correlations and problem-solving possible countermeasures.​ He worked on I³ projects that focused mainly on recurring sport injury translation:​​
